Mental Health initiatives for the Disaster Management Response in collaboration with Karnataka Jesuits under the banner Karnataka Jesuits Mental Health Care

The SAMAGRA team was asked to respond the needs of mental health during the second wave of Covid-19 pandemic. As a part of the disaster management response by the Karnataka Jesuits Province, Samagra team joined hands with all units under the Karnataka province and formed a big team of counsellors and mental health professionals. Under the name SAMAGRA Karnataka Jesuits Mental Health Care, and with the aim of providing mental health awareness and mental health support, a series of events were planned and rolled out during the months of May and June 2021. A mental health support was extended in the form of a helpline that was made available for all staff students, and the general public through which they could avail tele counselling and email-based counselling.
