Two day workshop for career counselling and aptitude testing

Samagra conducted a two day workshop for career counselling and aptitude testing. 46 students who have completed Pre-University from various colleges in Karnataka attended this programme on 21st and 22nd May 2022. They were selected by their respective Principles on the basis of merit and they belonged to St. Joseph’s PU College, Anekal, Loyola Composite PU College, Mundgod, St. Xavier’s PU College, Gulbarga, Loyola PU College, Sindagi, Loyola PU College, Manvi, St. Joseph’s Indian PU College, Bangalore, St. Joseph’s Evening PU College, Bangalore, Loyola Composite PU College, Bannerghatta, St. Aloysius College, Mangalore, St. Joseph’s College, Hassan, St. Aloysius College, Harihar, Pompei PU College, Mangalore. They went through aptitude tests to determine their readiness, and interest for further studies. Raven’s Progressive Matrices (for Intelligence quotient), Type A/Type B Personality test and Comprehensive Interest Schedule were administered to help the students identify their interests and strengths. This was followed by one-to-one interviews with the counselling team to give them more clarity on further career choices available for them. They also had input sessions on topics such as Leadership, Motivation, Personality development and Career planning. The workshop helped students to make an informed decision on the further course of study and they reported it to be an important and memorable experience.
